These Tools are designed to assist groups working with communities Facing displacement. They can provide aid in a variety of ways:
- Providing strategies for communities facing imminent displacement due to development projects or gentrification
- Responding to the need to assess a population post-displacement in order to mobilize them to pursue assistance and justice
- Assessing the severity of the displacement and its impact on vulnerable groups,
- Providing options for responding to displacement events and ways to evaluate the effectiveness of the responses.

Basic Principles and Guidelines on Development-Based Evictions and Displacement – OHCHR
The full text of the UN Guidelines that provides an overview of human rights imperatives, state obligations and strategies in displacement situations with guidance for pre-, during and post-eviction scenarios.

Planned Dispossession - Housing and Land Rights Network (HLRN)
Report of the HLRN fact finding mission in New Delhi during the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Findings include widespread evictions and demolitions of homes to clear space for new infrastructure.
Land Matrix – A global and independent land monitoring initiative that promotes transparency and accountability in decisions over land and investment.
File an urgent action appeal with HLRN – HLRN supports communities and activists opposing evictions and displacement by filing official complaints with relevant authorities and publicizing imminent displacement.
